Painting metal structures for warehouse shelving
Not all painting projects involve walls, ceilings and floors, and this warehouse is a perfect example of how painting metal shelving support structures can bring an aesthetic appeal to a commercial property while also providing invaluable protection that specialized paint provides. For this project, which spanned two weeks, Painters Inc. was tasked with covering 2,000 linear feet of metal shelving with Sherwin Williams Sher-Cryl HPA.
Sher-Cryl is an ambient-cured, one-component acrylic coating with performance properties that make it a perfect match for the type of metal being painted. Among the qualities that his paint possesses, and why we use it so often, is that it has outstanding humidity resistance, is rust and corrosion resistant and dries very fast. Despite the meticulous nature of painting these individual spans of shelving, the fast drying time allowed us to maintain our projected completion date.
