Metal surfaces painting on a factory loading ramp
Some exterior jobs require an abundance of prep work before fresh paint can be applied. With this project in Geneva, Painters Inc. removed old paint, dirt and grime from exterior metal surfaces on a factory’s loading ramp. We used vapor abrasive blasting, which is a technique that makes fast work of tough jobs, especially metal surfaces that have years of grime on them.
Over the course of four weeks, we thoroughly prepped the surfaces and painted them with two Sherwin-Williams products, the first of which is Macropoxy 646, a fast-curing epoxy paint that is perfect for industrial environments. It features high-solids for durable finishes. We also used Acrolon 218, a fast-drying urethane that is perfect for covering metal surfaces.
